We were up at the crack of dawn to finish packing up our gear and cleaning up the boat. One of NYCSS's skippers arrived about 10:00 and we handed over the boat to him; he handed us his car keys, and after fond farewells to John and Laurie and their kids on "Massilia", we drove his car back to Nanaimo. There, we caught the ferry to Vancouver and stayed at a hotel near the airport.

The next morning, we got a taxi to YVR and caught a flight back to Houston.
