Having retired in 2012, my wife and I departed Houston, TX in February 2013, planning to take our time completing the American Great Loop, with no particular time-line. We bought the boat, a 2006 Beneteau 423 sailboat in late 2011. We owned a smaller sailboat years ago and have 40 or 50 weeks cumulative experience chartering sailboats in the Pacific NW and the Mediterranean Sea.
2023 - Glacier Bay, Alaska adventure
In the 2023 cruising season, my wife and I, aboard our 2006 Beneteau 423, "c'est le bon", ventured from Anacortes, WA to Glacier Bay, AK and back cruising the inside passage and hitting many of the great stops along the way.
