Our friends, Bill and Becky Martz, now living in Orlando, have invited us for a visit for a few days, so we decided to move the boat to Anclote Harbors Marina; looks like a better (and less expensive) place to stay for a few days. Bill and Becky arrived about 15:00 and we then drove back to Oviedo (suburb of Orlando), stopping for dinner at a lovely Turkish sidewalk cafe in downtown Winter Park.

We hung out with Bill and Becky all day. For lunch we went back to Winter Park and had another lovely meal at a sidewalk cafe. Just as well we went back, because while there, I realized I had left my credit card at the Turkish restaurant the night before; they still had it. When we got back to B & B’s house, their daughter Rachel and her 3 boys came by the house for a visit; sweet kids.

Slept in again, what else is new. Later, we went to the mall bookstore and stocked up on books. We visited Bill and Becky’s daughter, son-in-law and grandkids at their house later that afternoon, then had dinner at home.

Bill and Becky drove us back to Tarpon Springs. We spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up the boat and working on our shopping list.

Rented a car for the weekend. We did a major shop and a couple of visits to West Marine in advance of the arrival of our good friends and cruising buddies from Vancouver, John and Laurie, on Saturday. Dinner aboard.

Drove down to Tampa International to pick up John and Laurie in the early afternoon. On the way back, we took the scenic route back to Tarpon Springs. There was an art festival going on in Tarpon Springs, so we stopped in for a while, then back to the boat for G & T’s and to get J & L settled in. They were worn out after their long, overnight flight, so we had a bite on the boat and turned in early.
