After breakfast and settling up with the marina, we left the marina and moved down-river through the bascule bridge to the mooring field (to save a few dollars). Once settled in, we took the dink back over to the dinghy dock and took a tour of “El Galeon”, a replica of Ponce de Leon’s ship that was used on the exploratory voyage along the Florida coast. This is the 500th anniversary of that voyage. Interesting note: Ponce, at the height of 4’ 11”, was the tallest man in his entire fleet. We had dinner aboard and got ready for our run tomorrow to Jacksonville.
