Rained during the night, but the day dawned clear and beautiful. We went into town for coffee and WiFi. Then, after refueling and emptying holding tanks, we headed out about 13:00 for the Ft. McRee anchorage at the south end of Pensacola Bay. We had a challenging sail down as the wind was blowing SW 15 - 25. Finally anchored in the lee of a spoil island, but had a blowy, night with the wind howling in the rigging and the boat yawing wildly back and forth, with the anchor rode griping on the bow roller; i.e., not very restful.

Up at 02:30 after the previously mentioned wild night. Wind has gone around to the NW, as predicted, but is still blowing 18 - 20 kn in the anchorage and the weather forecast is showing NNW 15 - 25, gusts to 30, all day until late afternoon. We decided to delay departure for a day and went back to bed. After we got up, we pottered around the boat (read, worked on tea cozies and rugs), and later went for a long walk on the beach. BBQ’d pork chops and then early to bed again.
