Short sail - only 10 nautical miles to go - to our next anchorage at Tom Point Creek, so we slept in and lazed about in the morning and got underway about 11:00. We sailed a little bit early on, but then the wind got fluky and we motored most of the way to the anchorage. We got in about 13:30 and had a late lunch. After 3/4 of an hour, we decided it was way too hot and still (we were in the lee of a bunch of trees), so we moved about 1/2 a mile further up the creek. But it was still hot and still and muggy all afternoon. We took a dinghy ride way up the creek late in the evening, but did not see any wildlife, just a lot of BIG houses on both sides of the creek, obviously mainly weekend places. Had a swim and a shower on the transom before bed, but it was still too hot, so we started up the generator and ran the A/C, all night long. A cool front came through late in the night and we had a bit of rain and it cooled off a bit, so I finally shut the generator down about 06:00.
