It is a travel day today; we are bound 40 odd miles to Plymouth. So, we were up at the crack of dawn - 07:00 anyway - and underway in the rain by 08:10. It rained all the way, but we had a nice sail for about 1/4 of the way; the wind was behind us all the way from Presidents Roads (outer end of Boston Harbor). Naturally, it was blowing E 15-25, with a forecast of NE 7 - 11. Unbelievably, the Brewer’s Marina was completely full, so we picked up a Town mooring ball at 13:50. It stopped raining about 15:00, so we loaded into the dinghy and went into town to see Plymouth Rock and the replica of the “Mayflower”. Then we walked the 1.5 miles up to the Stop & Shop supermarket and did a good shop for supplies for our planned (Canadian) Thanksgiving/Columbus Day dinner at Wood Hole. Back at the boat, the Admirals whipped up a delicious dinner of fish chowder and mixed vegetables. We finished off the evening with a rousing game of “BananaGram”, courtesy of John & Laurie. It was fun, but they cheated consistently, so I was never able to win a game. Oh yeah, it is also our 34th wedding anniversary. Happy Anniversary to my long-suffering Admiral. 41-57.684’N, 070-39.384’W.
