Terri woke me this morning with the news that the propane tank was empty; no problem, we’ll shift to the other one. Unfortunately, it was empty, too; major negative points to the Captain, who is in charge of propane inventory. Turns out, there is no place on the Outer Banks to refill a resident propane bottle, except on Friday (6 days hence), when the propane truck comes over from the mainland. So, we decided to make a run 40-odd miles to Belhaven to get a refill. We had an uneventful motor-sail back across Pamlico Sound and up the Pungo River to Dowry Creek Marina, arriving about an hour after the propane shop closed for the weekend; yep, no refills on Sunday. We had an excellent meal in Belhaven at Spoon River Artworks and Market.

Sunday, after microwave coffee, we did laundry and boat-cleaning chores and made a run to the grocery store. Later, we dined at the Tavern at Jack’s Neck; average pub food.
