Finally, a decent day to head west; the wind started out from the SSW, but was very light, generally under 10 knots, so it was nice and smooth on the lake, although we got the anchor up at 06:10 to get down the lake before it could get too choppy (just in case the forecast was wrong). We did manage to sail for a total of about 3 minutes, when the wind (twice) swung sharply to the NNW at 16 kn; but it did not last long either time. The rest of the trip was a flat motor-sail. We made it into Ashtabula Yacht Club at 12:40. After settling in, we took a nice long walk up into town, but there is not much going on. Dinner aboard.
