The wind went around to the west during the night and it has cleared up completely, but the temp only got down to the low 50s. We rolled out about 7:30; I think we are finally caught up on sleep. We finally pulled away from the dock about 9:30, went for a pump-out and a fuel-up, then motored another 24 N-miles further up the Tennessee River to Decatur, where we checked into the Riverside Marina at 14:20. It was blowing W10-15 all day and naturally gusted up just as we were trying to tie up at the marina. While backing into the slip we had selected (there being no one at the marina to greet us), the rudder hit something and we came to a complete stop; hopefully, there is no damage to the rudder. We moved over to another dock for the night. After dinner aboard, we went up to the Hard Dock Cafe and watched game 1 of the (so-called) World Series. Unfortunately, the Astros lost to the Dodgers 1-3. Kershaw is hard to beat at home.

The original plan was to move the boats up to Huntsville today and rent a car for Thursday to drive to Chattanooga, but there were no rental cars available in Huntsville. So, we left the boats in Decatur for a day and rented a car from here to go to Chattanooga today. We visited the Tennessee Aquarium and took a 2-hour boat ride down the Tennessee “Grand Canyon”. We made it back to the boat in time to watch the last 7 innings of Game 2 of the World Series; arguably the best World Series game in history, with the Astros squeaking out a win 7-6 in 11 innings: 8 home runs in the game, 5 in extra innings, lead changing 4 times, LA went through their entire bull pen, lots of drama. Go ‘Stros!!
