Having retired in 2012, my wife and I departed Houston, TX in February 2013, planning to take our time completing the American Great Loop, with no particular time-line. We bought the boat, a 2006 Beneteau 423 sailboat in late 2011. We owned a smaller sailboat years ago and have 40 or 50 weeks cumulative experience chartering sailboats in the Pacific NW and the Mediterranean Sea.
Pac NW - 2018
After 5 years of completing the American Great Loop and the Down East Circle Loop, we moved "c'est le bon" (by truck) from Mobile, AL to Anacortes, WA. Our plan is to spend the next several years touring around the Pacific NW from Washington State into British Columbia and, hopefully, eventually, all the way to Alaska.
