I got a e-mail from my buddy John, in Vancouver, inviting me up for dinner. When the electrical tech showed up at noon to sort out the faulty breaker switch on my new wash down pump, I had the afternoon free, so Vancouver looked pretty attractive. I stopped at LFS (marine hardware shop in Bellingham) on the way up. Then, after a 1 hour wait to get through Canadian passport control (apparently, they were not too happy with the comments made by our illustrious President regarding the Canadian Prime Minister), I made it into John’s house by Captain’s hour. We had good visit and finally had dinner when Laurie got home after a long day at the office. An excellent evening and a welcome break from the drudgery of getting the boat up to scratch.
