We had breakfast aboard, then walked up to Barb’s Buns for a cinnamon twist and coffee with John and Laurie. We pulled out from the dock just before 13:00. The wind was fine, so we sailed for the first 1.5 hours, until nearly Beaver Point. We tied up at Canoe Cove Marina at 16:10. Just after we tied up, we were joined by Paul from “Amara Zee”, a new-built (in 1998) Thames sailing barge, which is home to Caravan Stage; they do a Cirque du Soleil-like show, using the boat as stage and back-drop, at various ports along the way. We had a tour of the boat and met a few of the principals. They are here to set up for a few shows next week; unfortunately, we cannot hang around long enough to see one. Afterward, we walked up - in the rain - to the Stonehouse Pub & Grill for a farewell dinner with John and Laurie; excellent Shepherds Pie. Back to the boat for one last Papa Foxtrot, then it was time for goodbyes, as J & L are catching the 07:00 ferry to Horseshoe Bay tomorrow morning.
