We had a nice lay-in, waiting for the boat to warm up after a cold night. After breakfast, John came over and we discussed the revised weather forecast, which is not good: lots of rain tonight and 40 kn winds tomorrow. We decided to move over to Madeira Park for a couple of days to ride this gale our. On our way over, we topped up the fuel tank. We were tied up at Madeira Park by 11:10 and nearly immediately walked up to Budda Bing Burgers for lunch. We spent the afternoon tidying up the boat, preparing for tomorrow’s gale and playing a final game of dominoes with John and Laurie until Laurie had to get on her rideshare to catch the ferry to Vancouver at Langdale. After dinner, we did a bit of long range planning.

As forecast, it was raining when we woke up, so we were very slow getting up. And it rained and rained and rained all day. So, we read and watched 2 episodes of the Hornblower TV series, followed by the Diamondbacks v. Astros game. The wind got up a bit in the evening-we had a couple of gusts at 30 knots, but it didn’t last. We went to bed after the game; hoping for Nanaimo tomorrow.
