The alarm woke us up at 08:00 and we crawled out to face the day. After breakfast, I rowed out to check the prawn trap we set yesterday; and, lo and behold, there were 35 prawns and 1 octopus in the trap. I freed the octopus and secured the prawns and rowed back triumphantly to share my success with the others. When I got back to the boat, the rudder was only inches above a rock, so we hurriedly handed over our stern line to “Massilia”, let go our rafting lines and hauled in the anchor. We got away without incident, reset the prawn trap and motored to Powell River, where we tied up at Westview Harbour Marina at 13:18. As soon as the engine was shut down, we grabbed the grocery bags and ran up the ramp to catch the courtesy pump up to “downtown”. After a major shop for victuals and adult refreshments, we got back to the boat about 16:30. I went back into town to fill up an empty propane bottle, while the Admiral made preparations for doing laundry. We had just got started with that when daughter Ashley’s plane landed. As soon as we had her in hand, we went up to the local Thai food place for a take out dinner. Ashley has been on the road since 02:00 local time, so we all crashed early. It is great to have her back on board; the last time she visited us on the boat was summer of 2015 in Montreal.
