We were up about 08:00 and, after breakfast, decided to make an attempt to leave about 1.5 hours before HW slack, as we had plenty of water coming in. The exit was much less hair-raising than the entry and we were headed north by 09:45. It was essentially calm outside, but still a bit of swell persisting. We turned into Lisianski Strait at 10:43. All was calm and flat in the strait and we motored all the way to Pelican, where we tied up at the dock at 13:26. The girls went to do laundry and check out the general store, while I went to check out Rosie’s Bar and Grill. We met back at the boat for Captain’s hour and afterwards went to Rosie’s for dinner. Back at the boat, we played a little bit of guitar and mandolin. Dave and Dana, off of “Journey”, our dock neighbor, advised that we should stop in Mosquito Cove, if we were headed to Glacier Bay.
