Having retired in 2012, my wife and I departed Houston, TX in February 2013, planning to take our time completing the American Great Loop, with no particular time-line. We bought the boat, a 2006 Beneteau 423 sailboat in late 2011. We owned a smaller sailboat years ago and have 40 or 50 weeks cumulative experience chartering sailboats in the Pacific NW and the Mediterranean Sea.
St. John River Adventure - 2016
Starting from our Rockland, ME winter storage yard, we continued our cruising adventures on "c'est le bon", our 2006 Beneteau 423 sloop, and cruised back up into New Brunswick, where we turned up into the St. John River for a leisurely 6 weeks, before turning back south, via NYC, and on up the Hudson River to winter storage yard in Catskill, NY.
