It was time to move on, especially with the smell of diesel, from yesterday's wreck of the "Texada", still heavy in the air. We had the hook up by 8:15, and motored out of Bag Harbour. The "Texada" was still stuck fast on the rocks, but a Canadian cutter had arrived to assist in the salvage/removal. We did not stick around to watch the exercise. Once we rounded Smith Point, the wind was steady at S6, so we hoisted all plain sail and switched off the engine. We sailed and motor-sailed in fluky winds all the way to Ikeda Cove, where we anchored at 11:25. This early arrival left us all afternoon to explore Ikeda Cove by kayak and dinghy.
