After a very restful night, we were up by 08:00 for breakfast aboard. We slipped the mooring lines at the marina at 10:30 and motored out into Hardy Bay. Once clear of the navigation hazards and commercial fishing traffic, we got the sails up and sailed and motored NW up Goletas Channel to Christie Passage, between Hurst and Balaklava Islands, finally turning into God's Pocket about 14:00, having covered 13.0 N-m. We tied up at the dock and "Massilia" rafted alongside us. There, we met Annie and her husband, who run the God's Pocket resort, having just bought the place from the previous owner in the last year. God's Pocket is, believe it or not, a diving mecca in this part of the world; the water seems too cold for me, but there are a number of acclaimed dive sites in the area for viewing the underwater flora and fauna - lots of octopi, apparently. The kids had a great time wandering the several trails across Hurst Island along with Annie's dog, who accompanied them everywhere they went. Annie offered us some snacks during the common BYOB happy hour with a few resort guests in their dining room. We had dinner aboard for the first time this trip.
