Short trip east on the ICW brought us to Ingram’s Bayou and a lovely, quiet anchorage it is, indeed. We saw porpoises on the way in (and a porpoise watching boat coming out), and then saw them several times during the day. We took the dinghy out for a ride further up the bayou and watched the ospreys and pelicans and seagulls all afternoon. Finally commissioned the Bar-B-Q grill (nearly one year after we purchased it) and cooked up some excellent pork chops. Quiet night on the hook with good views of the stars.

Beautiful morning at Ingram’s Bayou. We decided to stay another night, it was so nice. I spent the day servicing one of our four winches; started with the small no. 40, since I don’t use it too often and figured it would be easier to learn on. It took five hours to clean up, but it works much better than before, so it was a good day’s work. Another quiet night on the hook.
