Weather forecast for the next 24 hours is good: NE 10 - 15, so we headed out of the marina 4 miles to an anchorage in San Carlos Bay. The anchorage is open to winds from the S or SW, but the forecast does not show that, so we should be good. Famous last words. We got anchored about 13:00 and settled in for a lazy afternoon. And then, along about 17:00, a thunderstorm approached and we had sustained winds greater than 20 knots from - you guessed it - the south. It got really rough and we even had to forego cocktails on “LongHawk”. About 22:00, it finally settled down and we were able to get some sleep.
