After our restless night, we were up early getting ready to get away from the dock and over to the boatyard. I called 3D boatyard at 08:00 sharp and they said they could do a quick haul at 09:30. We finished breakfast and got the boat ready and were at the travelhoist by 09:10. They took us straight in, Jason was there to meet us and we set to. Fortunately, the remnants of the thru-hull came out easily and after a quick discussion, Jason headed off to West Marine for the requisite parts. We finally got it all finished by 11:25 and were back in the water by 12:00. We spent a few minutes tightening up and chasing small leaks and were away from the slip by 12:15. At long last, after five weeks (less one day) in Key West, we are on the move again. The relief on board is palpable.

And, after dodging showers and thunderstorms all afternoon, ........ we made it totally without incident into Marathon, FL and tied up to a mooring ball for the evening. And poured a couple of tall G&Ts to celebrate. The monkey is off our back, the genie is satisfied, the hex has been lifted. At least for the time being. :-) Bar-B-Q’d pork chops on the grill for dinner.
