Greeted this morning by a 4 or 5 ft alligator swimming up the creek alongside the boat; glad I did not know that yesterday afternoon while I was in the water. I thought they did not like salt water; so much for conventional wisdom. After breakfast, we got the hook up and ambled 24 miles along the ICW to an anchorage in Cane Patch Creek on the west side of the north end of Ossabaw Island; another beautiful and totally deserted spot, although there was no place to go ashore. We went skinny dipping again in the creek in the evening to cool off before dinner and then had another long dinghy ride in the marsh just at sunset. Stargazing was again magnificent, as the new sliver of a moon set about 45 minutes after the sun. No shooting stars tonight, which is surprising, as this is supposed to be the start of the Pleaides Meteor Shower period.
