It was a bit warm last night, so we did not sleep too well. Nevertheless, after breakfast we went to the local pastry shop and had coffee and a chocolate croissant. Then, we rode over to Ruark Boat Works to tour the facility and check out the wooden boat they are building; it is a replica of the tender boat for the Choptank River Lighthouse, a replica of which is now on display at the Cambridge Yacht Basin; we then toured the lighthouse. After lunch, we toured the Harriet Tubman (a famous conductor on the Underground Railroad), who is from Dorchester County, MD. As we came out of the museum, the heavens opened; we hid out for 45 minutes, then made a run for the boat during a lull, but still got soaked. Twenty minutes later, it was over and the sun came out, so we cut loose and headed for an anchorage La Trappe Creek, arriving about 15:30. Hot and still here and lots of flies; we have both wind scoops out to try and catch a bit of breeze.
