We decided that one night in Oxford was enough for now, although we will probably stop in again on our way south. So, after a quick stop to pump out the holding tanks, we took off for Cambridge and had a lovely sail, close hauled all the way. We tied up at the city free dock. We did a quick run to Food Lion for victuals and then I stopped at the local canvas shop to see if they could patch a hole in the side panel that had unfortunately got tangled up with the sheet block for the spinnaker sheet. He patched the hole while I waited and then put in some new snaps on the roll-up straps; this will keep the panels in a tighter roll: better visibility and easier in and out of the cockpit. When we got back to the boat, another boat came in - a Gozzard 36, “Panasea”, with Jeff and Jules aboard for an extended trial run on their new (to them) boat.  They came over for happy hour and we had a good chat. Afterward, Terri and I walked into town and had a late dinner at the Bistro Poplar; most excellent French cuisine and a bottle of Sancerre to boot; worth the trip to Cambridge on its own.
