Foggy and cool this morning, so we took our time getting up and moving. We upped anchor just after 10:00 and got underway for the Rappahannock River. About two miles upstream of the Rappahannock River Bridge, the Corrotoman River flows into the Rappahannock from the north. There are a number a good anchorages up the Corrotoman, so we went up to check them out, eventually settling for an anchorage on Senior Creek, off the Western Branch of the Corrotoman. Like all the rest of the Chesapeake Bay and tributaries, the entire shore on all sides is developed, but generally, it is all fairly pretty. After lunch, we got the kayaks down for the first time this year and went for a long exploration up Senior Creek. Water temp is 74 deg F; time for a swim, but maybe not today.
