After a quiet and restful night, we got the anchor up about 10:00 to head the short distance (9 miles) over to Oriental. Arriving at noon, the city free dock was already full, so we anchored inside the break water, between two boats that appear to have been there for a while. After lunch, we went for a long walk in town, but other than the art coop and the ice cream/coffee shop, there ain’t much going on in Oriental. We spent the rest of the afternoon loafing around the boat, reading and knitting. After dinner, we were entertained by 3 sea otters, who hunted and played around our boat for 15 or 20 minutes.
