It was cool again last night, so we slept under a quilt and two blankets. After breakfast, we dropped the mooring lines and motored up Casco Bay, via Diamond Pass, along Long Island (Maine), into and out of Chandler Cove, across to the west side of Sturdivant Island, past Cousin Island, between Littlejohn and Great Chebeague Islands, past Moshler Island, and finally anchoring in a lovely little cove at Little French Island. It is beautiful and quiet, an active osprey nest in sight, with NO wakes and little light pollution. It was cloudy with light rain falling when we anchored just after noon, but it cleared up a bit after sunset, so we were able to see some stars. Nice to be out in the boonies again. After the rain stopped in the late afternoon, we unlimbered the kayaks, for the first time in 6 weeks and went for a paddle around French and Little French Islands, and had a good close look at the osprey nest; apparently, there are two nearly grown fledglings still in the nest - it looks like the parents are trying to get them to go off and hunt on their own (good luck with that!). Dinner aboard: pork chops and corn on the cob.  43-47.198’N, 070-04.144’W.
