Tide and time wait for no man, so we got up and went about 09:00. The wind was already up to S 15 - 20, so we had a very lumpy ride all the way to the entry to the Cape May Canal, at which we arrived about 14:00. We scraped under the two fixed bridges with inches to spare (sorry, “LongHawk”, but you will have to go around the outside of Cape May; or, alternatively, saw about 10 feet off your mast) and checked into Utsch’s Marina just before 15:00. Since we buried the nose in waves several times today, and nearly floated the inflatable kayak off it’s port-side rack, I decided that was not going to be appropriate for an offshore journey; so, we took it off the rack, deflated it and stowed it in the starboard lazaretto locker. We then cleaned up the boat, showered, and went to dinner at “Lucky Bones” restaurant. Early to bed for our 06:00 wake up call in the morning. At this point in time, the weather looks good for a run up to Atlantic City, NJ.
