We slept like logs last night on an absolutely still and silent boat - what a pleasant change from the two previous nights. It was cool (50F) when we got up, but calm and only partly cloudy. After a leisurely breakfast and another chat with our boat neighbor, we had the anchor aweigh by about 10:15. Outside the harbor, there was a northerly wind, but we still motor-sailed all the way to Manistee. We were tied up at Manistee Municipal Marina at 12:45. Following lunch, we had a nice, long walk around town, although the Admiral was beset by pollen - sneezing and coughing. There is a movie theater in town, and as they were showing “The Big Sick”, we caught the matinee showing; it is a great show. Then, we stopped into Bluefish for an excellent meal. A year ago we were in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA.
