I was awakened before 06:00 by a phone call from my brother in Houston, advising me that they had water in their house from the flooding San Jacinto River. They were eventually evacuated by boat and are alright now, but will have a long road to recovery. We could never get back to sleep after that, so we ended up making an early start, pulling away from the dock just after 08:00. The wind was N7, so we motored all the way to Sheboygan, where we fueled up, pumped out and tied up at the dock at noon. After lunch, we caught the bus into town and did a bit of grocery shopping and looking around town. Sheboygan is a cute town with a very nice, neat downtown area. We ended up doing the loop around town twice, including a stop at the Duke of Devon Pub for a bit of late afternoon refreshment and an early dinner. It was totally calm by the time we got back to the boat; a lovely evening.
