Up to the alarm at 07:25, we wolfed down a cup of coffee and said our goodbyes to Paul G. and Dave. Their extra crew for the next leg bailed on them, so they are going to Falmouth tomorrow with just the two of them. Bon Voyage. Paul B. and I got a taxi to the airport for our 10:20 departure to Lisbon. We got to the Lisbon Marriott Hotel just before 18:00 and immediately went out to head downtown. We walked to the Jardiin Zoological Metro stop, bought a couple of Metro tickets and rode to downtown Lisbon, where we disembarked at Baixa-Chiado. From there, we walked south through downtown to the Rio Tejo, which is actually a huge estuary about 4 or 5 miles from the Atlantic Ocean. After a cocktail at the Musea Cerveja off the Praca do Comercio, we wandered around downtown, looking for a place to eat dinner. We finally settled on Arte Baixa, where we had a very nice Indian food meal. We rode the Metro back up the hill and arrived in the hotel about 23:00, whereupon we went straight to bed.
