The dawn broke clear and lovely. After a leisurely breakfast, we went for a hike around the island, about a mile altogether. Then, we decided to move the boat to another island. The wind was fair for Thwartaway (aka Leek) Island, so we sailed past the mooring field there, but it looked a bit shallow and exposed to the SW, so we went on past Deathdealer Island to Camelot Island, where we picked up a Parks Canada mooring; there are no pennants on these mooring balls, so we had a bit of bother hooking up and lost one of our boat hooks in the process. After we settled in, I realized that the balls were limited to boats 40’ or shorter, so, after we had lunch, we let go and moved to an anchorage on the NE side of Bloodletter Island, in the Lake Fleet Islands. After we got good and hooked - about 13:30, we rowed the dinghy back over to Camelot Island and had another good hike round this small island. Then, it was back to the boat for a beard trim and a transom shower. Dinner aboard. Just received an update from the NY Canal authority: if they do not get any more rain, they may open the Oswego Canal to traffic on 24 June - if we had come thru 2 days later, we would have been stuck for 10 days.
