Finally, the rain has stopped for a while. As forecast, the wind has swung round to the SW and it is reasonably clear; at least no fog within sight. We pulled away from the dock at 08:20 and headed out into the stream. Right outside of Tadoussac, we saw loads of Beluga whales again. Within about 4 miles of departure, the whale-watching boats were just in front of us, so we put up the sail and switched off the motor and cruised through a pod of Minke whales; we got a few snap-shots, but nothing dramatic. Then we turned NE for the long run (57 N-m) to Rimouski. The tidal flow was not as favorable as we had hoped (or been lead to believe), but we had good weather all the way and even got the spinnaker up for nearly an hour before the wind died. We made it into Rimouski, on the Gaspesie peninsula, at 17:00 and settled in for the night. On the way in, we topped up the fuel tank as there is no good place to re-fuel between here and Gaspe, 210 N-m away. The time-lapse video of the run from Tadoussac to Rimouski is here (see if you can spot the Belugas or the Minke whales we saw today):
