It was calm overnight, but the wind started getting up, as forecast, at 08:00. But it was a good direction for us to fetch down to St. Peters to be ready for tomorrow’s planned crossing of Chedabucto Bay and the commencement of our run along the iron-bound coast of Nova Scotia. We got the sail up just after the anchor was aweigh and sailed all the way to the marina at St. Peters; lots of fun - engine was only on for 25 minutes all day and we had some challenging sailing through the multiple narrows at the south end of the lake leading to St. Peters. As we pulled into the marina, there was “Yankee Lady”; they (husband, wife and four young daughters) are planning to head straight to Halifax tomorrow morning, so we will probably pull out together. We spent the afternoon cleaning the boat, topping up water and fuel tanks, changing the oil and oil filter, doing laundry and grocery shopping. Dinner aboard and early to bed.
