Not quite as windy today as yesterday and even a bit of sunshine, so we got the anchor up at 09:30 and headed south thru the Barra Strait Bascule Bridge and on to Johnstown Harbour. The wind was E 8 - 12, so we had a nice sail after the bridge, close reaching to within 0.5 mile of the entrance to Johnstown Harbour. We were anchored deep in the harbour by 12:30. This is a nice quiet anchorage although there are a few houses fronting the water. After lunch, the Admiral and I went for a sail around the bay in “Swallow”; it was a good sail, but the wind was gusty and flighty, which made it a challenge. I was going to go for a swim (likely the last opportunity this year), but there were lots of jellyfish in the water, so I wimped out.
