At the risk of sounding boring, it was cold again this morning. We got up before 08:00 (early for us) to get underway again. We stopped in at the dock to pay the bill and take on a bit of fresh water, then we were away by a quarter past nine. The wind was light - E10 - and we motored through the Western Way, followed by the Casco Passage and then the eastern half of the Deer Island Thorofare, dodging lobster pot floats literally every few seconds the whole way, to an anchorage at Hells Half Acre (North), where we got the hook down in time for lunch. After lunch, and a look at the forecast for tonight, we decided to move around to the south side of Bold Island to a mooring ball in Hells Half Acre, where we will be a bit more sheltered from the predicted NW winds tonight, although they should be very light. After we were settled in, we went for a long row around Devil Island. The island is privately held, so we were reluctant to go ashore, but we saw a decent looking float just below the high tide line, so we went up long enough to retrieve it; now, I have an excellent float for the anchor trip line. It clouded up in the late afternoon, and so the temperature dropped pretty fast, which kind of spoiled an otherwise excellent evening. It is good to be on the move again, even if only for a short while. Happy hour and dinner aboard, followed by early bed-time.
