Up early again to check out of the hotel and get down to the boat for haul-out. They told us we were on for 09:30, so we ran up to The Brass Compass for an excellent fisherman’s breakfast, then back to the boat for haul-out. We picked up the last of the bits for the safety grab bars on the outside of the dodger and got those installed before we walked away from the boat for the year. When we drove the boat into the haul-out slip, it was overcast and cool, but with a very light (N 5) wind. About 30 minutes later, the front had arrived and the wind had gone round to S 15 - 20, with a driving drizzle; i.e., we hauled out just in time. Then, we ran to UPS to ship the guitar home and took the scenic route down to Portland; in spite of the dismal weather, we had a good view of the fall colors - the trees were in full change with every imaginable shade of yellow and red showing.

We were up before 04:00 for out 06:05 departure from Portland to Baltimore en-route for Houston, where we arrived at 12:40. That is it for the 2015 cruising season and this will be the last blog post until next year. Y’all be good.
