After a leisurely breakfast and a lovely morning at anchor, we got the hook up at 12:15. We pulled alongside Lacey Falls in Tribune Channel at 13:20 and snapped a few photos; there is a bit of water flowing down the falls this time, unlike our last pass-by in 1999. Carrying on to the east, we entered Kwatsi Bay and tied up at the “marina” at 14:00. It rained a bit more in the afternoon, which discouraged us from walking over to the nearby waterfall, but we had a nice chat with Max, the owner, at the informal happy hour he hosts every afternoon. He is in the process of selling the place, after running it for 30 or so years, and relocating to Sointula to enjoy retirement. Interesting character; he has lived on the NW coast for the last 50 years and knows all of the old-timers.
