We were up early(ish) and had the anchor up by 08:45. Just as we rounded Kiddie Pt, at the far north end of Texada I., we had another very close encounter with a humpback whale or whales. Then we proceeded SE along the south side of Texada. We anchored in Deep Bay at the NW end of Jedediah Island at 14:00, with a stern line ashore to one of the Parks Service maintained rings. Afterward, we all went for a long walk around Jedediah Island; it is such a special place - quiet and relaxing - and the weather was gorgeous. I could happily spend a week here just hiking around all the different trails; maybe next year we will.
