High, broken overcast and sunshine as we got up. The Admirals went for a paddle at LW around 10:00. We piddled around the rest of the morning, then got the anchor up at 14:45 and headed west to the far end of Broad Reach, where we anchored at 17:15. We saw 2 different groups of 3 whales, starting immediately after we raised the anchor, so we sailed the whole distance up the reach, tacking into the 15 kn westerly wind. It was a great sail and we got several good looks at the whales, which we were surprised to see in Ahclakerho Channel. Somehow, during one of the tacks, the starboard jib sheet got hooked round the starboard dorade vent and knocked it over the side, so I will have to order a replacement after we return to civilization.
