It was another cool, overcast day, but not much wind. We had the anchor aweigh by 09:00 and motored out into Guemes Channel, where we picked up 2.5 kn of favorable current. Into the Rosario Channel, the wind was up to S14, so we sailed to the W although the current in this channel was pushing us south at 3 kn, so we sailed most of the way across, but eventually had to put the motor on to get up to Thatcher Pass, which we were through by 10:45. The wind inside was only 5 or 6 kn, so we motored all the way through the central San Juans. When we passed Jones Island, the wind was a bit freer and we were ahead of schedule, so we sailed slowly with a following tidal current for another hour or so. By 13:30, the wind had slacked off and the current was foul, so we motored the remaining couple of miles to the eastern entrance to Prevost Harbor on Stuart Island, where we anchored at 14:15. Cell service was not good inside the bay, so we were unable to have a Zoom call with the grandkids, although we did have a brief phone call with them. At 22:00, I was finally able to upload the updated version of the ArriveCan app and upload our vaccination cards and details of our Covid-19 test results.
