It was cold, with broken overcast, but with the hope that the sun would peek out, at least occasionally. We enjoyed the pain au chocolates for breakfast, then got going about 09:30. As soon as we were out of the marina, the SE wind was fair for Blake Island, so we killed the engine and got the jib up. Soon, we were under full sail, close-hauled on port tack. We sailed to within a couple hundred yards of the harbor opening and were tied up at the marine park dock at 11:30. After lunch, we went on a nice walk around the island - Ashley and I took the longer Red Trail and the Admiral took the shorter trip across the north end of the island, where we met up and walked back together. When we got back to the boat, the wind had gone right round to the north and was blowing up our back-side, so I organized some assistance from our dock neighbors (from Olympia on a 35’ Chris Craft) and we turned the boat around, using the dock lines and the wind; piece of cake. Dinner aboard was fresh King salmon (from Pike Place Market) and rice.
