I was awake again at 04:30; the wind was up and a neighbor had a halyard clanging noisily against their mast - morons. Our next door neighbor hauled the honey-wagon over at 07:30, so we took advantage of that and pumped out the forward holding tank for the last time and got it winterized. The Admiral did a last load of laundry while I hauled two cart loads of stuff up to the car and got the drains, shower pumps and freshwater system all winterized. Just after noon, we picked a lull in the 19-20 kn winds and got the boat off the dock headed for Skyline Marine. On the way over, I pumped the bilge as dry as possible. At Skyline, I filled the fuel tank up (13.7 gal diesel) then moved over to the haul out dock for the evening. The Admiral was there to catch my lines. Then, we changed the oil and oil filter, the on-engine fuel filter, and flushed the seawater cooling system with anti-freeze. At that point, we had done all that could be done to prep the boat for haul-out. So, we got in the car, soaking wet from the afternoon rains and drove into town. As it was 17:00, we stopped in at the Island Cafe for dinner and then checked into the Marina Hotel. After showers, we were in bed and asleep well before 21:00.
