We got going just before 09:00 and motored all the way through the Swinomish Channel and on to Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes, where we were tied up at 14:40, after pumping out both H/Ts and filling up with diesel. I collected our mail from the marina, picked up the car and stopped by West Marine to collect our new kayak rack. The box the rack was in had been run over by a truck but all the bits were there. While going through the pieces, I found that one of the hand-nuts had not been tapped all the way through, so I negotiated a $30 discount, with which I bought a tap of the appropriate size to finish that job; it all worked well. The Admiral went up to do some laundry and I spent a bit of time trying to figure out why the engine room fan has quite working. We all went to dinner at the Island Cafe and had an early night.

In spite of our early night last night, we did not get going until after 09:00. After a breakfast from Starbucks, we hit the scenic route to Everett, via Marysville. Then, we headed down to Seattle to check out Ballard and Fremont, with a stop at Dusty Strings, where Ashley bought her Celtic harp. While she was trying out their harps and gather info from the guys behind the counter (and while they were flirting with her), I tried out a few guitars, including a 3/4 size Martin. Ashley and I jammed on harp and 12-string guitar for several minutes, after which the staff all applauded. I ended up buying the 3/4 sized Martin; it does not play a wrong note and it has such a pretty sound - plus, it is the first Martin I have ever owned. After lunch, we drove down to Kent to get our Covid-19 tests for our return to Canada, drove back up to Fremont to see the Fremont Troll, visited Gasworks Park (on Lake Union), had a pint at Fremont Brewing, had dinner at Sushi Samurai in the Queen Anne section, then drove through Capitol Hill on our way south to Sea-Tac area to drop Ashley off for the night at the Ramada Inn Airport. After sad goodbyes, we headed back to Anacortes; we stopped off at Safeway for a quick grocery stop, then got back to the boat at 10:50, totally knackered.
