We were up early to get the Admirals to the ferry terminal for the 08:45 ferry, so Laurie could go back to work for a few days. I walked them up to the road to catch a taxi. Lisa, one of John’s former young engineers who now lives in Nanaimo, and her boyfriend showed up at “Massilia” at 09:00 with cinnamon buns. We chatted with them for about an hour and then they had to go to work. John and I walked up to the marine hardware store and then to the grocery and liquor stores to stock up on essentials for the next 3 days. We got away from the dock just after 13:00 to make sure we were at the Dodd Narrows in time for 14:24 slack water. The wind was NW 20, so we had sails up as soon as were were out of the marina and sailed all the way to the Narrows. As soon as we were through the Narrows, we sailed again all the way to the anchorage, Pirates Cove South, at the very south end of De Courcy Island. The anchor was down by 16:10 and we settled in for the evening.
