I slept like a rock, but was wakened just before 09:00 when another sailboat came in and anchored just a few feet from us, right over the top of my anchor. I glared at him, but he shouted that they were going to be leaving in a few minutes. Sure enough, he left before I had finished breakfast. We had the anchor aweigh by 10:15 and immediately set sail to the SE, before a NW 15-20 wind. I finally got the whisker pole set up (sort of) so I could properly sail goose-winged. I has been a couple of years since I had the pole up, so it took me nearly an hour to get the whole thing sorted out. We sailed all the way to the entrance to Annette Inlet, where we anchored at 15:33. It took 4 attempts to get the anchor set - twice we set up in a location where one boat or the other did not have sufficient water depth to get through the next low water cycle (we are at Spring tides, whereas last week it was Neap tides, with a much smaller tidal range), and a 3rd time the anchor would not set and kept dragging when I tried to set it going astern. Fourth time lucky. We had a lovely, quiet evening.
