We bounded out of bed at 08:45. After breakfast, we packed up and got away from the house at 10:45, with John at the wheel, headed for Tswassen. The Admiral and I made a quick stop at Safeway to buy enough groceries to get us through breakfast and lunch tomorrow, then we headed for the ferry. We were in time to make the 12:00 ferry and were at the boat shortly after 14:00. We hauled our stuff down to the boat and I helped John haul the now redundant yellow kayak back up to his car; he will donate it (or make it available) to the boys on “Whimsey”; the foredeck is much less crowded now. I made a quick run up to the local marine hardware store and found a fitting to facilitate winterization of the A/C units without making a huge mess (I hope). Then, I installed the new 5 ft long hoses on the solar showers. And, shazam, it was time for Captain’s Hour. Although it rained or sprinkled most of the day, the sun came out about 17:45 and warmed things up nicely. We had a quiet dinner of leftovers aboard, ready for our return to the States tomorrow to meet Ashley in Seattle on Sunday.
