The Motel 6 breakfast was, to say the least, sub-standard, so we drove into town and eventually ate at the Geiser Grand Hotel’s breakfast buffet; excellent omelette. We then headed immediately east to Hell’s Canyon along a scenic byway. After heading to the end of the road along the Snake River to Hell’s Canyon Dam, we turned south along the river toward Boise, ID, where we finally checked into a Candlewood Suites Hotel at about 18:00; 250 miles or so, but nine hours of traveling, including our sightseeing. Dinner at Bombay Grill in downtown Boise; very nice.
