The good news is that today we did not hike 13 miles, or anywhere near it. The bad news is we spent 9 hours in the car driving 630 miles from Moab, UT to Boise, ID, via Cisco and Salt Lake City. The first 50 miles was a spectacular drive along through the canyon of the Colorado River - amazing geology and topography. We hit a major storm at Salt Lake City, but after that, the drive into Boise was routine. Lite meal followed by an early night. During the day, I talked to the good folks at North Island Marine Services. The boat has been moved to their yard to do the work on the batteries - a couple of bad cells in the house batteries and one of the starter batteries. They are also going to do the limited bottom job for me (for the cost of moving the boat back to the DIY yard so I could do it myself).
